New Avatar!!! (Finally)

I have been meaning to do an avatar for a long long time. But because I haven't painted in so long, I was afraid I'd come up with something that would look like this meme. It doesn't look like much but it was a test to see if I could still do it and I did! It's really simple and it actually ended up looking better without lines, which was awesome. I'm trying to produce art fast but with at least some remnants of who I am and what I want to do in it. I think the one without line is the better one but if you have a different opinion, let me know. I tried to give it that 'unfinished' look.

Updating blog, portfolio, demo reels, avatars?!

My gyad...

      It's been a long time.

                    I'm BACK from hiatus!

There's a lot of updating to do and I am very excited because I am getting all this stuff done! It's amazing. I was on a bit of a brain meltdown, had a bit of a vacation, and now I am getting a bit of space for this week to work on things. I've learned that the ability to focus is a super power (during very eventful times).

I want to create new artwork and post recipes. Feel free to share with me any recipes and whatnot people have tried! Helpful art criticism (for future posts),  inspiration, hilarity... Anything!

Home made cranberry sauce

You should try this fantastic cranberry sauce recipe!

I tweaked it a little:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 orange, juiced and collect zest!
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 pear - peeled, cored and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer, and stir in cranberries, pureed/juiced orange, orange zest, apple, pear, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring gently occasionally (in a folding over motion), and you'll hear the cranberries POP! Remove from heat, and let cool to room temperature.

Serve on vanilla ice cream, turkey, or what have you. It's amazing.
It was beautiful, decadent, the family loved it and finished it off. I don't know if I could ever go back to serving canned sauce. I still like it (I'm not prude), but this was SUPER amazing and very tasty.
